The Chinese PLAN and PLAAF conducted an exercise around the disputed Scarborough Shoal. Earlier this year the PLAN was involved in incidents, supporting the Chinese Coast Guard against Philippine BFAR and Coast Ships. Is this an indication that China will militarize the territorial dispute in the West Philippine Sea?
